Clear Water Systems Limited

Technology

We believe that by bringing together technology and innovative services allow Clear Water Systems Limited to develop a unique service to detect, manage, and mitigate blue-green algae (BNG) and specifically cyanobacteria in lakes and riverways.

The core of our service is the deployment of a world-leading Autonomous Surface Vessel (ASV) developed by RanMarine. This ASV serves as an autonomous platform, equipped with advanced sensors, battery-powered emissions-free systems, and communication systems, forming the backbone of our detection and mitigation efforts. Complementing this is Eget Liber's non-chemical, patented Staged Flow Treatment System (SFTS), which disrupts and eradicates cyanobacteria in situ, while simultaneously reducing water toxicity and nutrient levels.

Staged Flow Treatment System

Technically, the Staged Flow Treatement System (SFTS) consists of a service enclosure and a flow chamber. The service enclosure houses the treatment devices surrounding the flow chamber, designed by Eget Liber, our partner from the United States, contributes specialized knowledge in mitigating harmful blue-green algae. Their expertise lies in developing chemical-free approaches to combat algal blooms, utilizing innovative technologies such as autonomous, semi-submersible vehicles employing ultraviolet light. Their collaboration with the U.S. Army Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC) showcases their commitment to pioneering solutions for freshwater ecosystems. Eget Liber's expertise in detecting and managing blue-green algae is critical for addressing the specific challenges faced in Lough Neagh. (Concept drawing below)
